Get Started!

Our method is made up of 4 key components that need to be carried out in a sequence that takes around 20 mins. This is repeated but leaving out two of the components when repeating.

Myself and others, while testing, have found that two rounds get a handle on what I rate to be a mild to bad flare up.

Four or five rounds get a control of a bad flare up and you just carry on repeating it until you feel the swelling subside and the pain reduce until you are satisfied with the result.

THE BLOOD ALCHEMY METHOD

It takes a bit of practice and a bit of focus but you will have cracked it within a few attempts.

I have carried out 100s of blood tests at each stage of testing and I’m now at the point I can almost predict the morning’s uric acid blood level using the knowledge gained thought the long testing period.

Understanding your own body is key and we are all individuals so I have made it easy to turn up or down the intensity and time frame for neutralizing the crystals.

Before you start, take a photo of your gout attacked area to compare once you have finished. The method is designed to halt an attack and stop it from setting in leaving you free of pain.

I’m not anti-DRUG and please don’t stop taking any prescribed medicine as the method is not a replacement. A couple of ibuprofens if you are allowed to take them may help.

PART ONE

Something we have all had instilled into us since we were children is drink plenty of water. There is a high probability that the only reason you are having a gout attack now is that you have become dehydrated over a few days and had a spike in your uric acid level above 400, which is the average person’s trigger point.

Now, water straight out of the tap here in the UK has a PH of around 7.4

When we drink liquids, it takes an average of 10 to 15 minutes to enter our blood stream. The majority of us are dehydrated most of the time so before we start, the first thing we are going to do is drink as much water as your body comfortably lets you do. Be sure to listen to your body.

So, what about other drinks? Remember, High PH is alkaline.

Low PH is aiding the lovely uric acid. If you remember in chemistry when you were at school, alkaline neutralise acids.

By adding just a tiny amount of bicarb soda (which is considered a natural product) to the tap water, PH will be raised to give a PH of around 8.4

Remember, you only need a tiny amount, half a tea spoons worth, and this hardly effects the taste at all.

Baking Soda or Bicarbonate of Soda as its correctly called, in its pure form is a natural product. When buying it’s wise to check the ingredients as producers often add corn starch and small amounts of acid to the product to enhance its use in cooking. We recommend you drink as much as you can, listening to your body at the time. You don’t need to bloat yourself out, just make sure you have had a good fill, just as you would after a long day in the hot sun.

ITS YOUR CHOISE. Water or water with added Bicarbonate of Soda. It’s your choice but I found adding Bicarbonate of Soda helped speed things up for me

Throughout the method that follows, keep topping up with fluid as much as you comfortably feel you can drink.

PART TWO

I’m guessing you’re probably having a gout attack now, or are just curious how my method works.

First, please read our safety section above.

You ideally need to be laying down on a bed, couch or floor and put your phone on silent. I have always used headphones as it intensifies the effect and doesn’t allow external sound to interfere with your mind. Wise to have a glass of water close by and the lights low or almost dark if possible.

We expect you to be in a very laid-back state of mind at the end of the session. I find evenings are best and leads to a really good night’s sleep. Don’t make plans to do anything other than rest after you have finished the session.

Breathing properly in sport has always played an important role in athletes’ performance as it takes oxygen to the muscles for fuel. Without the fuel, your body can’t perform at its best. Most people are probably aware of this.

The bi-product of a human breathing is carbon dioxide, which we breath out along with a mass of nitrogen which only comes in and out for fun. It plays no major contribution to your state of general health, unless like me you are a diver and like to stay under the water in depths greater than 6 meters.

A build-up of oxygen in the blood stream has an effect on the blood’s uric acid level. I have been working on this for around five years, testing which breathing techniques seem to give the best results.

This is what I have found works best.

How to do the BA Breathing method

Lay flat on your back, preferably on a bed or sofa and make yourself nice and comfortable. Lay using one pillow max or no pillows if you can.

Have a glass of water close by as you will find your throat will get dry. Set a timer for 3 mins on your phone.

If you have subscribed, you can follow all of this on audio with full instructions, including the advanced techniques and meditation lessons and by the end of this, you will have had a taste of what meditation all really about.

Close your eyes and imagine you are on a swing in the park with a friend behind you who will push the swing hard each time it returns. This push represents your breathing.

On the out breath, imagine you are the person pushing the swing excreting energy in the outward breath.

On the in breath, you are now that swing coming back under gravity. Fully fill your lungs as much as possible fully filling your chest cavity and when full its back to pushing out that swing.

If you don’t have our beginners backing track playing, try listening to any music that has roughly 130 beats per minute.

There is a reason dance/house music has remained so popular. As we get older, our heart rate slows down and is between 60 and 100 in the average male. We find it easy to feel our heart beats as they synchronise to the musical beats as ballroom dancers and advanced martial artist tend to synchronise their breaths with their partner/opponent. This is carried out by the subconscious and most of us are not aware we are doing it.

THE BA Method so far

You have been breathing like a swing for three minutes; it’s time to just breath out and stop. You don’t have to expel all the air or hold your breath. You just have to stop and not breath for as long as you can. Mouth open or closed it doesn’t matter. At some point you with feel you need to let out some carbon dioxide that has built up in your lungs, it feels a bit like reverse breathing, just go with it.

When you feel the need to breath in, take a big breath in and hold for 10 seconds.

Then you exhale and its straight back into the swing breathing, keeping at it for 4 minutes this time. This is the second round, only one more to go. When the four minutes is up, it’s time to again breath hold for as long as possible.

Once again, when you feel the need to breath in, take a big breath in and hold for 10 seconds.

This is the last round and will last another 4 minutes. Back to the swing breathing and this time when it comes to the breath hold, become aware of your mental state. Your mind may start to wander as you will be experiencing the same feeling as someone about to enter into a deep meditation. It’s a lovely sensation and I felt myself wanting more the very first time I experienced this.

After you have completed the breath hold and breathing, relax and start to move your body. You should be feeling in a great state of mind. I often do the method if I get woken during the night as by round two, I’m usually asleep or may decide to take it further into deep meditation. If you find the Gout is reversing quite quickly don’t get lazy. Think of gout as the Karma Police. The Karma Police will love to be banging on your swollen foot the next day as you got lazy and only did one round. Invest in yourself.

You will find this far easier if you play our backing track as it acts as your timer and you won’t need to refer to the book.

PART THREE

Bingo. You have got your head around the breathing system and you are feeling good so take a few sips of water.

Meditating one evening, the thought rose up that if we increase the blood flow, will this increase the rate of lowering Uric Acid Levels? Everything in life starts from a thought. At that point in time the method worked well using only two parts but there’s always room to improve in life.

What we need to do next is get your heart rate up. You can do this any way you like, but you do need to end up breathing hard and fast by the end of it.

For me, it’s just a trip up and down the stairs a few times as quickly as possible until I can feel my heart has really started beating and working. This doesn’t have to be prolonged, just enough to get that heart pumping. If you’re a martial artist do Sanchin. The breathwork in Sanchin above is loosely based on Sanchin Kata. It’s far too hard to describe in words but as a summary, it’s like gentle Tai Chi movements but carried out under a lot of tension and using the Ibuki breath which is (you guessed it) like a swing, fast in and slow out but under a lot of tension.

Summary of part three: get you heart rate up by any means possible just for a short amount of time. In my tests, I was bringing down my Uric acid levels by about 60 on average by doing 11 mins of weight training while still laying down. I have enjoyed doing it so much those 11 mins have now become part of my daily routine. Like I said, you don’t need to go mad exercise wise, just get your heart rate up

PART FOUR

Now you have done the hard part, the breathing. If I really push the breathing, I’m left feeling very hungry. There are no rules to say you can’t eat.

Now we want to encourage as much blood flow to the area affected by the gout. We can do these one of two ways or both if you are adventurous.

MASSAGE: as deep as you can, massage the areas closest to the gout. Nice firm movements to encourage blood to the area. I found that buying a cheap £40 massager on amazon has been a god send, even if my friends think it looks like a sex toy. While you’re at it with the massager, give the rest of your body a massage. You won’t believe how much of a relief getting knots out of your muscles can be and waking up the next morning feeling ten years younger.

COLD WATER THERAPHY   

I have just returned from Iceland and did my uric acid levels drop? Yes, most certainly but it was painful being out wearing shorts in minus 13 degrees and the extreme cold caused a few rashes on my legs. Getting your gout affected area into cold even 8 or 9 degrees above will help. It’s not always practical but if you are suffering badly you will go to any length to get that pain to stop. UK tap water comes out the tap at 8 or 9 degrees and trust me, it takes a lot of ice to really bring it down low. So maybe just fill the bath with cold tap water and be brave. I like to meditate in the ice. Thirty minutes meditating in the ice make you feel like you have been reborn.

You have now completed the four parts that I use to get my gout reversing.

Time to take another photo, the gout should now feel like you have put a brake on its progress

The next stage is.

  1. Give your body a fluid top up, just enough to feel comfortable
  2. Repeat parts 2,3 and 4

Remember to work hard at the breathing, you are investing in yourself.

So now we have completed two whole rounds. By now you should be noticing a nice improvement in the area. Take another picture

I think by now you have worked out what’s coming next. Yes, it’s just a case of repeating but keep taking photos.

Four to five rounds reverse a fairly bad ankle and Achillies attack for me and at the fourth round I am tired and often take a nap. When I wake up an hour or so later the foots almost back to normal.

This method works great for me. I’m not opposed to drugs but in the past I have found that drugs help prevent but are actually pretty useless at the start of my attacks. The BA Method crushes the attack before the damage is done. A bad attack in the past could last 4 or 5 weeks and the damage left is what causes arthritis in later years.
